Q: Have the tax letters for 2011 gone out yet?
A: They are scheduled to go out on December 1, 2011. If you do not receive yours, please contact us to let us know. [ E-mail ].
Q: Is my donation tax deductible?
A: Yes, your donation to Access Information, Inc. is tax deductible. However, it may not be 100% deductible due to food and drinks.
Q: What is the buyin for this event?
A: The buyin for this event is a tax-deductible $150 donation to Access Information, Inc.
Q: Will there be rebuys and addons during this event?
A: Yes. This is a charity event, and the first prize is valued at $10,000. There will be unlimited rebuys for $100 until 2pm, and then a final add-on for $100 at 2pm.
Q: Will there be food at the event?
A: Yes. There will be a continental breakfast, buffet lunch, and buffet dinner. The food is included in your buyin.
Q: Will you be accepting credit cards for rebuys and add-ons at the event?
A: Yes. We will be accepting Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards.
Q: I have played in three satellites now and I am still planning on buying into the event. Will my satellite donations be added to my tax deductible donation letter?
A: Yes. All monies each individual has spent on this tournament are being tracked, however please know that we do not send any tax deduction letters for any amount under $250 unless either a) you request the form, or b) you have played in the tournament. If you would like to request a tax deduction letter, click here.
Q: Do I get my prize right when I win the tournament?
A: No. The WSOP requires a name to be put on the ticket and the card so we will have to give them your name before they can be given to you
. This should only take a few days - you will get a receipt that you won the tournament with a letter for claiming your prize.
Q: If I win the tournament, can I sell the WSOP ticket?
A: Yes. However, that transaction cannot involve Access Information, Inc. in any way, and you must know what name to put on the ticket before we purchase it. The name that is sent in for that ticket is the only person who can use that ticket.
Q: I paid for my seat then I won a satellite. What are my other options?
A: If you pay in advance, but then win a satellite tournament you may sell your initial buyin to another party. However, you must notify Access Information, Inc. with the name and e-mail address of the individual who bought your seat. Or, you can use your initial buyin to be credited during the tournament for rebuys and add-ons. At the end of the tournament if you still have a credit from your initial buyin, you may request a refund for the difference if you do not wish to donate the monies. If you do request a refund that amount will also be deducted from your tax deductible letter.
Q: Will there be tables and dealers at this event?
A: Yes. We will have poker tables and we will have dealers at the event which will also be players in the tournament.
Q: What kind of playing cards will we be using for this tournament?
A: Copag Cards will be used for this event.
Q: If I have prepaid for this tournament and I am late, what happens?
A: if you are late to the tournament and you have prepaid, your chips will be set at your table and you will be blinded out until you arrive.
Q: What time will the tournament start and end?
A: Cards are scheduled to turn at 11am and the tournament should be over by 9:00pm.
Q: What if I completely forget about the tournament. Can I get a refund?
A: No. We cannot issue a refund for missing this tournament unless there are well documented extenuating circumstances.
Our board of directors must approve any refunds dispursed for this event.
