ABOUT US...

WHO IS BEHIND DISABILITYGUIDE.ORG?
Russ Holt, a 1994 graduate of American University with a B.A in Sociology, has a long history of being active in the Maryland / Washington D.C / Virginia community. Born in Washington, D.C in 1968 he grew up in Potomac, Maryland and now lives in the small Montgomery County town of Boyds. Partially paralyzed in a 1986 auto accident, he has become a well known advocate for people with disabilities. In September of 1997, Russ was featured on Dateline NBC and CNN. In 2001, he and Greg Snider launched DisabilityGuide.org and The Washington, DC Access Guide to answer accessibility questions from the thousands of visitors to Washington, DC each year. The Guide is available at most area hotels and the D.C Visitors Center.

Greg Snider, a 1993 graduate of Towson State University with a B.S. in Business Management, is the "man behind the scenes." His passion for web development and the desire to empower the disabled community came together as a perfect match when Russ came to him with the DisabilityGuide.org idea.
